The invention is a sliding shoe for use by a participant in the sport of curling and a process for producing it. The sliding shoe is comprised of a lower surface having a shoe planar portion and a shoe recessed portion and a slider affixed to the lower surface and having a sliding planar portion complementary to the shoe planar portion and a slider recessed portion complementary to the shoe recessed portion such that when the shoe is worn on an ice surface by the participant, the slider planar portion contacts the ice surface and the slider recessed portion does not contact the ice surface. Further, the invention is a kit for converting a shoe, having a sole, into the sliding shoe. The kit is comprised of the lower surface for attaching to the sole of the shoe and the slider for affixing to the lower surface.
La présente invention vise une chaussure glissante pour la pratique du curling et un procédé de fabrication connexe. La chaussure glissante se compose d'une surface inférieure elle-même divisée en une section plane et une section en retrait et, fixée à la surface inférieure, d'un dispositif coulissant composé d'une section plane glissante épousant la section plane de la chaussure et d'une section en retrait coulissante épousant la section en retrait de la chaussure de telle sorte que, lorsque le joueur de curling qui a revêtu ces chaussures pose le pied sur la glace, la section plane du dispositif coulissant entre en contact avec la glace tandis que la section en retrait du dispositif coulissant ne touche aucunement la surface glacée. De plus, cette invention peut également être utilisée pour convertir une chaussure munie d'une semelle en chaussure glissante. Cette trousse de conversion comprend une surface inférieure (surface d'usure) que l'on fixe à la semelle de la chaussure transformée et un dispositif coulissant que l'on assujettit également à cette surface inférieure.
