Process for the MIG welding of nickel and nickel alloys, with the use of a gas shield for at least part of the welding zone, in which process the gas shield is a gas mixture containing from 0.05% to 0.5% CO2, the balance being argon. Advantageously, the gas mixture also contains, by volume, from 15 to 50% helium, preferably from 17% to 30% helium, or from 0.1% to 10% hydrogen by volume and preferably from 1% to 7% hydrogen by volume.

Procédé de soudage MIG du nickel et des alliages de nickel, avec mise en oeuvre d'une protection gazeuse d'au moins une partie de la zone de soudage, dans lequel la protection gazeuse est un mélange gazeux contenant de 0 05% à 0.5% de CO2, et le reste étant de l'argon. Avantageusement, le mélange gazeux contient aussi de 15 à 50 % en volume d'hélium, de préférence de 17% à 30% d'hélium, ou de 0 1% à 10 % en volume d'hydrogène, de préférence de 1 % à 7% en volume d'hydrogène. Mélanges gazeux destinés à un tel procédé.
