In a transmission system wherein redundant message cells, forwarded according to the ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) transmission method during the course ofvirtual connections, are respectively transmitted via redundant transmission paths, a blocking window is defined upon reception of the message cells, this blocking window excluding from further processing those message cells with a lower sequence number than the sequence number of the message cell that was selected at the moment as the most recent message cell for further processing. The method avoids repetitions of message cells and yields an optimally low loss of message cells given a switching between the transmission paths.
Dans un système de transmission où des cellules de message redondantes, transmises en mode ATM (mode de transfert asynchrone) sur des connexions virtuelles, sont transmises respectivement sur des trajets redondants, une fenêtre de blocage est définie sur réception des cellules de message et exclut du traitement ultérieur les cellules de message dont le numéro de séquence est inférieur à celui de la cellule de message alors sélectionnée comme étant la plus récente aux fins du traitement ultérieur. La méthode évite les répétitions de cellules de message et réduit à un niveau optimal les pertes de cellules de message, étant donné la commutation entre les trajets de transmission.
