A transparent film of at least 10 very thin, generally parallel, layers of substantially uniform thickness is disclosed in which the contiguous adjacent layers are of different transparent thermoplastic resinous materials differing in refractive index by at least about 0.03, one of which being a thermoplastic elastomer. When two elastomers are adjacent, one segment of each are of the same polymer family. The film has increased resistance to delamination.
