A hearing aid (30) including a microphone (32) fitted through a small hole (34) in the conchal bowl (14) of the user to receive sound impinging the anterior side (40) of the pinna (12), an electronics package (36) wound behind the pinna that receives the sound from the microphone, and a sound conductor (50) running from the electronics pack- age behind the ear through the soft tis- sue of the external auditory canal me- dial to the cerumen-producing portion (26) of the canal.
