The invention relates to a thermoplastic elastomer comprising a blend of a rubber and a thermoplastic resin, the rubber being at least partially cured with a phenolic curative. The invention is that, to overcome problems with surface cracking, the thermoplastic elastomer also comprises a hydrolysis- insensitive HALS-compound. The invention also relates to the preparation of such a thermoplastic elastomer.

Elastomère thermoplastique comportant un mélange d'un caoutchouc et d'une résine thermoplastique, le caoutchouc étant au moins partiellement vulcanisé à l'aide d'un agent de vulcanisation phénolique. Afin de surmonter les problèmes associés à la formation de craquelures superficielles, cet élastomère thermoplastique comporte également un composé photostabilisant à amine encombrée insensible à l'hydrolyse. On décrit également la préparation d'un élastomère thermoplastique de ce type.
