The present invention relates to a method for operating an illumination system, which illumination system has a high pressure discharge lamp driven with a commutating lamp current (IL), and a color filter system for filtering the light of the high pressure discharge lamp in a plurality of sequential color segments (A, B, D, E, G, H). The invention further relates to an illumination system for embodying the inventive method, and to a computer program product which can be loaded into an inventive illumination system in order to configure said illumination system in accordance with the inventive method. According to the invention, prior to a commutation in an intermediate phase (ZP), the lamp current (IL) passes through an intermediate phase pulse (DP), during which the light of the illumination system is suppressed. When a change occurs in the course of the lamp current preceding the intermediate phase (ZP), the intermediate phase pulse (DP) occurring in the intermediate phase is adapted in such a way that the change is at least partially compensated in the effect thereof on the electrode temperature at the time of the commutation.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de fonctionnement d'un système d'éclairage comprenant une lampe haute pression fonctionnant avec un courant de lampe (IL) de commutation et un système de filtre coloré pour filtrer la lumière de la lampe à décharge haute pression dans une pluralité de segments colorés séquentiels (A, B, D, E, G, H). De plus, l'invention concerne un système d'éclairage pour réaliser le procédé selon l'invention et un produit de programme informatique, qui peut être chargé dans un système d'éclairage selon l'invention, pour concevoir celui-ci en fonction du procédé selon l'invention. Selon l'invention, avant une commutation dans une phase intermédiaire (ZP) pendant laquelle la lumière du système d'éclairage est atténuée, le courant de lampe (IL) fait circuler une impulsion de phase intermédiaire (DP). Lors d'un changement du parcours de courant de lampe précédant la phase intermédiaire (ZP), l'impulsion de phase intermédiaire (DP) située dans la phase intermédiaire est adaptée de sorte que le changement soit compensé au moins partiellement au niveau de son effet sur la température des électrodes au moment de la commutation.
