A dynamic focusing device for cathode ray tubes is disclosed, which comprises a crosshatch pattern generator for providing a surface of cathode ray tubes with a crosshatch pattern indicating an adjustment point at which focusing control is carried out, input means for choosing the adjustment point and for controlling the focus at the point, correction data setting means having a memory unit for storing a correction data necessary for proper focusing, interpolating data calculating means for providing an interpolation data between two adjacent adjustment points located in a vertical direction, a latch and digital to analog converter for converting said correction and interpolation data into an analog form, and output means for interpolating characteristics between two adjacent adjustment points located in a horizontal direction and for supplying an output signal to a dynamic focus circuit. The disclosed device produces proper focus uniformity and is able to produce a high definition television image on direct-view devices or projection systems which utilize cathode ray tubes.

Comprend un générateur de damier, qui applique à une surface de tubes cathodiques un damier indiquant un point de réglage auquel est effectuée la commande de mise au point; des moyens d'entrée pour choisir le point de réglage et commander la mise au point en cet endroit; des moyens de définition de données de correction ayant une mémoire pour le stockage de données de correction nécessaires à la mise au point; des moyens de calcul de données d'interpolation pour communiquer des données d'interpolation entre deux points de réglage voisins situés à la verticale; un verrou et un convertisseur numérique-analogique pour convertir lesdites données de correction et d'interpolation sous une forme analogique; et des moyens de sortie pour interpoler des caractéristiques entre deux points de réglage voisins situés à l'horizontale et transmettre un signal de sortie à un circuit de mise au point dynamique. Le dispositif présenté produit l'uniformité de mise au point voulue et a la capacité de produire une image de télévision haute définition sur des dispositifs à vision directe ou des systèmes de projection à tubes cathodiques.
