A method for treating a tar sands formation includes providing a drive fluid to a hydrocarbon containing layer of the tar sands formation to mobilize at least some hydrocarbons in the layer. At least some first hydrocarbons from the layer are produced. Heat is provided to the layer from one or more heaters located in the formation. At least some second hydrocarbons are produced from the layer of the formation. The second hydrocarbons include at least some hydrocarbons that are upgraded compared to the first hydrocarbons produced by using the drive fluid.
L'invention concerne un procédé de traitement d'une formation de sables bitumineux qui comprend la fourniture d'un fluide de drainage à une couche contenant des hydrocarbures de la formation de sables bitumineux pour mobiliser au moins certains hydrocarbures de la couche. Au moins de premiers hydrocarbures provenant de la couche sont produits. De la chaleur est fournie à la couche à partir d'un ou de plusieurs dispositifs de chauffage situés dans la formation. Au moins de seconds hydrocarbures sont produits à partir de la couche de formation. Les seconds hydrocarbures comprennent au moins des hydrocarbures qui sont améliorés par comparaison aux premiers hydrocarbures produits en utilisant le fluide de drainage.
