A fiber optic splice closure includes a housing, a support within the housing, at least one splice organizer pivotally connected to the support, and a slack storage holder pivotally connected to the support. The support may be connected to an interior of a first housing portion adjacent end thereof. The support preferably includes portions defining a plurality of pivotal mounting locations. The slack storage holder is pivotally connected at a first pivotal mounting location of the support and is pivotally movable between a stored position and a raised position. The slack storage holder when in the stored position is preferably generally parallel to and in spaced apart relation from adjacent interior portions of the first housing portion. Accordingly, the slack storage holder thus preferably defines a fiber routing area with adjacent housing portions. The slack storage holder can be moved to the raised position facilitating access to the fiber routing area. The slack storage holder includes a loop storage basket formed from a base panel and opposing side walls and a rear wall support member that is adjustable in position to the loop storage basket.
L'invention concerne une gaine d'épissure de fibre optique comprenant un boîtier, un support logé dans le boîtier, au moins un organisateur d'épissure connecté de manière à pivoter au support et une unité de stockage de mou relié de manière à pivoter au support. Le support peut être couplé à l'intérieur d'une première partie de boîtier adjacente à son extrémité et comprend de préférence des parties définissant une pluralité d'emplacements de montage rotatifs. L'unité de stockage du mou est reliée de manière à pivoter à un premier emplacement de montage rotatif du support et peut pivoter entre une position de stockage et une position élevée. L'unité de stockage du mou, en position de stockage, est normalement et de préférence parallèle et écartée des parties intérieures de la première partie de boîtier adjacentes. Ainsi, l'unité de stockage du mou définit de préférence une zone d'acheminement de la fibre avec des parties de boîtier adjacentes et peut passer dans une position élevée afin de faciliter l'accès à la zone d'acheminement de la fibre. Cette unité comprend un panier de stockage en boucle se composant d'un panneau de base et de parois latérales opposées ainsi que d'un élément d'étaiement de la paroi arrière à position réglable.
