A support frame for traction rollers of a continuously variable transmission comprises two support disks and a plurality of spacers positioned between the support disks and rigidly attached to the support disks. Each support disk comprises radial grooves that extend between a central portion of the disk and an outer circumference of the disk. A method of manufacturing a support frame for traction rollers of a continuously variable transmission is also described.
