A stretched polytetrafluoroethylene porous article having fine pores formed therein, wherein fine pores having a pore diameter greater than the average pore diameter of said stretched polytetrafluoroethylene porous article are formed by the irradiation with a pulse laser beam having a pulse width of 10 picoseconds or less, and a fine porous structure of the wall surface of said fine pore is not broken and is substantially retained; a method for producing the stretched polytetrafluoroethylene porous article; and a method of ablation machining.
La présente invention concerne un article poreux en polytetrafluoréthylène étiré dans lequel sont ménagés des pores fins, lesquels présentent un diamètre des pores supérieur au diamètre des pores moyen dudit article poreux, et sont formés par application d'un rayonnement au moyen d'un faisceau laser à impulsion présentant une largeur d'impulsion égale ou inférieure à 10 picosecondes. La structure poreuse fine de la surface des parois des pores fins n'est pas rompue et elle est essentiellement conservée. Cette invention concerne également un procédé permettant de produire l'article poreux en polytetrafluoréthylène étiré susmentionné, ainsi qu'un procédé d'usinage par ablation.
