In a portable door lock it is known to have a chain attached at one end to a quick-link and at the other to a split-ring which in turn is joined to a key- shaped piece of metal. The key-shaped piece has a bent tip that grabs into the strike-plate hole on the frame of the door. When the door is then shut, the chain is wrapped around the door-knob and the quick-link at it's extremity passes through the provided hole in the key-shaped piece. This invention is also known to act as a portable chain-lock. When the lock is in place the door's opening is impeded in part by the chain and in part by the quick-link. This lock is also known to be a key-chain that can be put in the pocket or purse or used as a beach bracelet around the wrist or as a pocket chain tied to the belt.
