The invention relates to a mechanical press having a very precise shutheight control system. The press includes a bed connected to a frame with a slide connected with the frame for reciprocating motion opposing the bed. The slide and bed together define a shutheight of said press. A drive mechanism is attached to the frame for driving the reciprocating slide, the drive mechanism includes a drive piston and a tie rod. The shutheight control system includes a chamber located between the drive piston and tie rod with a pressurizing mechanism in communication with the chamber for selectively pressurizing the chamber with a predetermined pressure. The pressurizing mechanism causes the tie rod to one of expand and contract to thereby control press shutheight.
L'invention a trait à une presse mécanique dotée d'un système de haute précision pour régler la hauteur table-coulisseau. La presse comporte une table reliée à un cadre avec coulisseau relié au cadre pour assurer un mouvement de va et vient par rapport à la table. Le coulisseau et la table définissent, l'un par rapport à l'autre, la hauteur table-coulisseau de ladite presse. Un mécanisme d'entraînement est fixé au cadre pour entraîner le coulisseau à mouvement alternatif, et comporte un piston de commande et une barre d'accouplement. Le système de réglage de la hauteur table-coulisseau comporte une chambre située entre le piston de commande et la barre d'accouplement, un mécanisme de mise en pression communiquant avec la chambre pour la mise en pression de la chambre à un niveau prédéterminé. Le mécanisme de mise en pression entraîne l'expansion et la contraction de la barre d'accouplement et règle ainsi la hauteur table-coulisseau.
