A process for producing a thermoplastic polyester resin foam comprising melting a thermoplastic polyester resin, mixing the molten resin with a blowing agent and extruding the mixture into a low-pressure zone to carry out expansion molding, characterized in that a compound having two or more acid anhydride groups per molecule, optionally together with a compound of a metal of Group I, II or III elements of the Periodic Table is added to the thermoplastic polyester resin. There is also disclosed a process for producing a thermoplastic polyester resin foam comprising cooling a high-temperature foam immediately after expansion and then re-heating the foam. Further, a thermoplastic polyester resin foam sheet and a food container prepared from the foam sheet are also disclosed.
Procédé de production d'une mousse de résine thermoplastique de polyester consistant à faire fondre une résine thermoplastique de polyester, à mélanger la résine fondue à un agent d'expansion et à extruder le mélange dans une zone à basse pression pour effectuer le moulage par expansion. Le procédé est caractérisé par le fait qu'un composé ayant deux ou plusieurs groupes anhydrides d'acides par molécule, combinés parfois à un composé d'un métal du Groupe I, II ou III des éléments du tableau périodique, est ajouté à la résine thermoplastique de polyester. Un procédé de production d'une mousse de résine thermoplastique de polyester est également décrit. Il consiste à refroidir une mousse à haute température immédiatement après son expansion et à chauffer de nouveau la mousse. Un panneau de mousse de résine de polyester et un contenant de nourriture préparé à partir du panneau de mousse sont également décrits.
