The present invention relates to a faecal management device (10) designed to provide improved body fit between the flange and the skin of the wearer and thereby prevent leakage. The faecal management device (10) comprises a bag (11) having an aperture (21), and an anatomically-shaped flange (12), which surrounds the aperture (21). The flange (12) provides for adhesive attachment to the perianal area of the wearer. In particular, the front portion (26) of the flange comprises a projection (28), which provides an effective seal between the flange (12) and the skin of the wearer and prevent leakage to the urinary tract. In particular the device (10) fits snugly into the folds at the margin of the vulva of the wearer and thereby improves sealing. In another aspect of the present invention, the faecal management device comprising such a flange is used in combination with a disposable diaper.
La présente invention concerne un dispositif de retenue (10) pour matières fécales permettant d'améliorer l'ajustement entre la bordure et la peau de l'utilisateur ou de l'utilisatrice de manière à empêcher les fuites. Ledit dispositif (10) comprend un sac (11) pourvu d'une ouverture (21), une bordure de forme anatomique (12) entourant l'ouverture (21). La bordure (12) assure une fixation adhésive sur la région périanale de l'utilisateur ou de l'utilisatrice. La partie frontale (26) de la bordure comprend notamment une saillie (28) permettant d'assurer une étanchéité efficace entre la bordure (12) et la peau de l'utilisatrice, empêchant ainsi les fuites vers le tractus urinaire. Par ailleurs, ce dispositif (10) affleure les plis vulvaires de l'utilisatrice améliorant par conséquent l'étanchéité. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, le dispositif de retenue des matières fécales est utilisé conjointement à une couche de bébé jetable.
