A process for the production of a polyisocyanate comprising (a) phosgenating a polyamine to form a polyisocyanate by reacting (1) a polyamine on which the polyamine on which the polyisocynate is based in solution in an inert solvent with (2) phosgene optionally in solution in an inert solvent, (b) separating the solvent from the polyisocyanate, (c) treating the separated solvent to be reused in polyamine solution (1) with an isocyanate trimerisation catalyst.

L'invention concerne une méthode de production d'un polyisocyanate, qui consiste à: a) transformer en phosgène un polyamine pour former un polyisocyanate, par la mise en réaction 1) d'un polyamine sur lequel le polyisocyanate est basé en solution dans un solvant inerte avec 2) un phosgène facultativement en solution dans un solvant inerte; b) séparer le solvant du polyisocyanate; c) traiter le solvant séparé pour le réutiliser dans le polyamine en solution (1) avec un catalyseur de trimérisation d'isocyanate.
