The invention relates to a system for stabilizing an object formed of a natural or foreign biological material in the body of a patient comprising: a lower critical solution temperature material which remains in a flowable form below about a temperature inside the body of the patient and which forms a get about at and above the temperature inside the body of the patient; a catheter for tranferring the lower critical solution temperature material into the body in the flowable form; and a guide wire for introducing the catheter into the body and guiding it to about the location of the object; and a mechanism to force the lower critical solution temperature material in the flowable form through the catheter and into the body to contact the object such that the lower critical solution temperature material gels in the body due to the temperature inside the body and contains at least a portion of the object within the gel to stabilize the object with the gel.
L'invention porte sur un système permettant de stabiliser un objet composé d'une matière biologique naturelle ou étrangère provenant de l'organisme d'un patient. Le système comprend : une matière ayant une température critique inférieure en solution, matière qui demeure dans une forme fluide à une température inférieure à la température corporelle du patient et qui forme un gel à environ la température corporelle du patient ou à une température supérieure à cette dernière, un cathéter permettant de transférer la matière ayant une température critique inférieure en solution dans l'organisme sous une forme fluide, un fil guide permettant d'introduire le cathéter dans l'organisme et le guidant jusqu'à l'endroit où est situé l'objet, et un mécanisme permettant de pousser la matière ayant une température critique inférieure en solution sous forme fluide dans le cathéter et à l'intérieur de l'organisme jusqu'à ce qu'elle entre en contact avec l'objet pour former un gel induit par la température corporelle, gel qui contient au moins une partie de l'objet et qui stabilise ce dernier.
