ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A portable mixer used to prepare and heat sauces. The mixer has a conical receiving opening, the wall of which is heated. A corresponding conically shaped mixing bowl is inserted into the conical receiving opening. The wall of the receiving opening quickly reaches an operating temperature, of approximately 50°C, since the wall has a uniform wall thickness of from 3 to 5 mm and a heater strip is secured to the wall to provide the best possible heat transfer.
