A leaching field constructed from a plurality of rectangularly shaped elongated geotextile covered in-drain core elements (16, 18, 20, 24, 26) provided alongside one another. The elements have equally spaced fold lines (16a, 16c, 16e, 16g) extending laterally across their adjacent semi-folded portions so that a stack of such elements in a flattened condition occupies a minimal space whereby these elements can be readily transported to the site. When expanded honeycomb configuration is achieved so that a self-supporting in-drain structure greatly facilitates construction of the leaching field without the need for templates and the like to support the structure during the filling of the voids between the adjacent in-drain elements themselves. If desired, expandable stakes may be used to support the in-drain assemblies in an optimum configuration.
Cette invention concerne un champ d'épandage se composant de plusieurs éléments noyaux (16, 18, 20, 24, 26) d'une forme rectangulaire et allongée qui comportent des drains entrants et sont recouverts d'un géotextile. Ces éléments sont disposés les uns le long des autres, et comportent des lignes de pli (16a, 16c, 16e, 16g) qui sont régulièrement espacées les unes des autres et qui croisent latéralement leurs portions semi-pliées adjacentes. Il est ainsi possible d'obtenir une pile de ces éléments qui, en configuration aplatie, occupe un espace minime et permet ainsi de transporter facilement ces éléments sur un site. Lors du déploiement de la structure alvéolée, la structure auto-portée des drains entrants facilite grandement la construction du champ d'épandage, ceci sans qu'il soit nécessaire d'avoir recours à des gabarits ou autres éléments analogues servant à supporter la structure lorsque l'on remplit les vides entre les éléments à drain entrant adjacents proprement dits. Des piquets jetables peuvent le cas échéant être utilisés afin de supporter les systèmes de drains entrants et de les maintenir dans une configuration optimale
