The invention relates to compositions, conjugates, and methods for the prevention and/or treatment of a condition and/or disease comprising a therapeutically effective amount of a DPP-IV inhibitor and a gastrin compound. The combination of a DPP-IV inhibitor and a gastrin compound provides beneficial effects, in particular sustained beneficial effects, in the prevention and/or treatment of conditions and/or diseases for which either a DPP-IV inhibitor or a gastrin compound have been demonstrated to have a therapeutic effect, including but not limited to diabetes, hypertension, chronic heart failure, fluid retentive states, obesity, metabolic syndrome and related diseases and disorders. Combinations of a DPP-IV inhibitor and a gastrin compound can be selected to provide unexpectedly additive effects or synergistic effects.

L'invention concerne des compositions, des conjugués, et des méthodes de prévention et/ou de traitement d'un état et/ou d'une maladie faisant intervenir une dose efficace sur le plan thérapeutique d'un inhibiteur de la DPP-IV et d'un composé gastrine. La combinaison d'un inhibiteur de la DPP-IV et d'un composé gastrine produit des effets bénéfiques, en particulier des effets bénéfiques soutenus, dans la prévention et/ou le traitement d'états et/ou de maladies pour lesquels il a été démontré qu'un inhibiteur de la DPP-IV ou un composé gastrine ont un effet thérapeutique, notamment, entre autres : le diabète, l'hypertension, l'insuffisance cardiaque chronique, les états de rétention d'eau, l'obésité, le syndrome métabolique et des maladies et états associés. Les combinaisons d'un inhibiteur de la DPP-IV et d'un composé gastrine peuvent être sélectionnées pour produire des effets additifs ou synergiques inattendus.
