The invention process consists in entering in the accessible memory zone Ac of a portable object (1) at least the information [1 and an image [1' of that information. The said image [1' is obtained via a program for encoding the information [1 . The said program takes into account at least the informatrion [1 , a first data [Ks , outside the portable object and supplied to encoding circuits (21) under the control of the person entering the information, and a second data [Sid , diversified for each portable object (1). Subsequent certification consists in confirming that an image [1' was obtained with the first and second data, to conclude from that that the associated information [1 is original.
Le procédé de l'invention consiste à inscrire dans la zone de mémoire Ac accessible d'un objet portatif (1), au moins l'information [1] et une image [1'] de celle-ci. Cette image [1'] est obtenue en mettant en oeuvre un programme de chiffrement de l'information [1]. Ce programme prend en compte au moins l'information [1], une première donnée [Ks], externe à l'objet portatif et fournie à des circuits de chiffrement (21) sous le contrôle de la personne inscrivant l'information, et une seconde donnée [Sid], diversifiée pour chaque objet portatif (1). La certification ultérieure consiste à vérifier qu'une image [1'] a été obtenue à l'aide des première et seconde données, pour en déduire que l'information [1] associée est originale.
