32989CA Abstract of the Invention A process for producing a 4-methyl-1-pentene copolymer comprising carrying out a batch copolymerization of 4-methyl-1-pentene and at least one alpha olefin comonomer wherein once polymerization of the comonomer has begun comonomer is added continuously such that the amount of that specific comonomer in the reaction vessel is relatively constant during the polymerization. Also novel 4MPl copolymers are disclosed, including copolymers that are unusually homogenous.
