A balancing support device is provided for a handheld electronic device enabled with a camera. The support device is balanced on a central apex of a handle member. Laterally spaced apart clamping members allow various camera devices to be clamped onto the support device. Counterbalancing stabilizer arms are also able to support a camera on the support device in a self-supported and upright orientation. A steering member transmits steering movement to the camera device relative to the handle member through a magnetic interaction to minimize the effects of undesirable user movements on the video being captured by the camera device.
