Systems and methods for recording multiple copies of a program are provided. The method may include receiving a user instruction to record a program. A determination may be made to record multiple copies of the program. In response to the determination, multiple copies of the program may be recorded. A user instruction to display the recorded program may be received. A copy of the program may be played back. The user may switch to another copy of the recorded program if the original copy lacks desirable recording attributes, or the interactive television application may automatically switch to another copy of the program.
La présente invention se rapporte à des systèmes et à des procédés permettant d'enregistrer de multiples copies d'un programme. Le procédé selon l'invention consiste : à recevoir une instruction utilisateur visant à enregistrer un programme ; à déterminer l'enregistrement de multiples copies du programme ; à enregistrer, en réponse à ladite détermination, de multiples copies du programme ; à recevoir une instruction utilisateur visant à afficher le programme enregistré ; à lire une copie du programme ; et à permettre à l'utilisateur de basculer vers une autre copie du programme enregistré si la copie originale est dépourvue de propriétés d'enregistrement désirables, ou à permettre à l'application de télévision interactive de basculer automatiquement vers une autre copie du programme.
