A method of providing state information of a mobile station in a mobile communication system which provides a data service between the mobile station and a base station and transmits information on a maximum data rate available for the mobile station and information on the amount of data stored in a buffer of the mobile station in a reverse direction, such that the base station determines a reverse data rate of the mobile station based on channel state information transmitted in the reverse direction. The mobile station determines information on the amount of data stored in its buffer based on information transmitted from the base station,. The mobile station quantizes the determined information on the amount of data stored in the buffer, and transmits the quantized information to the base station.
La présente invention a trait à un procédé de fourniture d'information d'état d'une station mobile dans un système de communication mobile assurant un service de données entre la station mobile et une station de base et transmettant une information concernant un débit maximal de données disponible pour la station mobile et une information concernant la quantité de données mémorisées dans une mémoire tampon de la station mobile dans la direction inverse, de sorte que la station de base détermine un débit de données inverse de la station mobile en fonction de l'information d'état de voie transmise dans la direction inverse. La station mobile réalise la quantification de l'information déterminée concernant la quantité de données mémorisées dans la mémoire tampon, et transmet l'information quantifiée à la station de base.
