The invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition which can contain as active substance: a polypeptide having the property of being the receptor of large and/or major HBsAg, and containing or constituted by human endonexin II, with said polypeptide being present in an amount from 0.6 to 50 mg/kg bodyweight, preferably from 10 to 15 mg/kg bodyweight. The pharmaceutical compositions of the invention are useful for the treatment and diagnosis of HBV infection.
