A shock absorber removal system for safely and easily removing a shock absorber from a vehicle, without requiring the utilization of a torch, is provided. The device includes an unitary tool having a head member with a deep impact socket, and a handle member. The end of the handle member is angled with respect to the rest of the handle member. The longitudinal axis of both portions of the handle member, and the deep impact socket, are all co-planer; the tool is used by being moved up and down in the plane of the longitudinal axis and the socket axis, when the tool is placed over the upper stem and retaining that of a shock absorber.
