The present invention relates to peptidomimetic compounds that inhibit serine protease activity, particularly the activity of hepatitis C virus NS3-NS4A protease. As such, they act by interfering with the life cycle of the hepatitis C virus and are also useful as antiviral agents. The invention further relates to compositions comporising these compounds either for ex vivo use or for administration to a patient suffering from HCV infection. The invention also relates to methods of treating an HCV infection in a patient by administering a composition comprising a compound of this invention.

La présente invention se rapporte à des composés peptidomimétiques inhibant l'activité de la sérine protéase, en particulier l'activité de la protéase NS3-NS4A du virus de l'hépatite C. Leur action consiste à entraver le cycle biologique du virus de l'hépatite C, et ils sont également utiles en tant qu'agents antiviraux. De plus, l'invention a trait à des compositions contenant lesdits composés, qui sont destinées à être soit utilisées in vivo soit administrées à un patient atteint d'une infection par le virus de l'hépatite C.
