The invention concerns a steam iron, comprising a sole plate (11) including steam outlets (12) communicating with an evaporation chamber (14), the sole plate (11) and the evaporation chamber (4) being in thermal relationship with heating means, the evaporation chamber (14) communicating with a reservoir (15) through an orifice (16) capable of being closed by a valve (17) arranged in a housing (22). The invention is characterised in that the valve (17) comprises a rod (5) capable of closing the orifice (16), said rod including a shoulder (19) capable of resting on a support (3) integral with a bellows (4) forming at least partially a sealed conduit (31) between the reservoir (15) and the evaporation chamber (14), said support (3) being actuated by a thermostat metal (1) mounted on a wall (29) in thermal relationship with the evaporation chamber (14).

L'invention concerne un fer à repasser à vapeur, comprenant une semelle (11) comportant des trous (12) de sortie de vapeur en communication avec une chambre de vaporisation (14), la semelle (11) et la chambre de vaporisation (14) étant en relation thermique avec des moyens de chauffe, la chambre de vaporisation (14) communiquant avec un réservoir (15) par un orifice (16) susceptible d'être obturé par un boisseau (17) disposé dans un logement (22). Conformément à l'invention, le boisseau (17) comporte une tige (5) susceptible d'obturer l'orifice (16), ladite tige comportant un épaulement (19) susceptible de reposer sur un support (3) solidaire d'un soufflet (4) formant au moins une partie d'un conduit étanche (31) entre le réservoir (15) et la chambre de vaporisation (14), ledit support (3) étant susceptible d'être actionné par un bilame (1) monté sur une paroi (20) en relation thermique avec la chambre de vaporisation (14).
