A support member which attaches to a computer mouse for supporting an electrical cord that extends from the computer mouse and for keeping the cord elevated and away from the work surface as of a desk on which the computer mouse rests and for preventing the cord from getting entangled in papers and other items on the work surface and for allowing greater freedom of movement of the computer mouse comprises a stem having a substantially horizontal lower forward portion connected to an upper rear portion by an inclined middle portion to position the upper rear portion at a distance away from a work surface which supports a computer mouse, a slot formed in the stem and having a top wall and side walls extending downwardly from the top wall, a pair of flanges extending outwardly at right angles from the forward end of the stem, and an adhesive layer on the forward face of the flanges for attaching the flanges on the outer surface of a computer mouse.
