A method and a device are provided for disposing of an aqueous solution than contains an organic acid and an iron complex and occurs particularly in the decontamination of radioactively contaminated surfaces of components. It is contemplated that the iron complex in the solution is reduced by irradiation with UV light. A dissolved iron salt and carbon dioxide, which is given off, are formed in the process. A oxidant is then added to the solution that contains the dissolved iron salt and the organic acid. This produces water, and the iron complex foams once again. Some of the dissolved iron salt is removed from the solution by means of a cation exchanger. The solution containing the iron complex is irradiated again with UV light. A cycle process ensues, which continues until all the organic acid is consumed.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif permettant d'éliminer une solution aqueuse qui contient un acide organique et un complexe de fer, et qui résulte notamment de la décontamination de surfaces d'éléments contaminées par voie radioactive. Il est prévu de réduire le complexe de fer contenu dans la solution par irradiation par rayons U.V. Il en résulte un sel de fer dissous et un dioxyde de carbone qui est éliminé. On ajoute alors à la solution qui contient le sel de fer dissous et l'acide organique, un agent d'oxydation, ce qui entraîne la formation d'eau et le complexe de fer se forme à nouveau. Une partie du sel de fer dissous est extraite de la solution à l'aide d'un échangeur de cations. La solution qui contient le complexe de fer est à nouveau irradiée par des rayons U.V. Le cycle se poursuit ainsi, jusqu'à ce que qu'il ne reste plus d'acide organique.
