Description

RIG FOR ROUND TRIP OPERATIONS AT A WELL A B S T R A C T The rig in accordance with the invention com- prises an inclined mast having hingedly mounted on it a derrick man's working platform having a central open- ing facing the mast. A crownblock assembly is mounted at the top of the mast, operatively connected with the travelling block through the ropes of the travelling block line. A closed-type elevator is suspended from the travelling block. The travelling block cooperates with a centralizer mounted for vertical reciprocat- ion along guides and horizontal displacement with the aid of crosspieces mounted on the mast and support carriages accommodated on the crosspieces. The guides for vertical reciprocation of the centralizer are flexible and are secured between the crownblock assemb- ly and the respective support carriages.
