ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method of fluidizing a flocculated red mud plastic mass which comprises uniformly admixing with such flocculated red mud plastic mass at least 0.1 pound per metric ton of an acrylic acid polymer which has a molecular weight within the range of 5,000-30,000. By this means a plastic mass of flocculat- ed red mud is rendered fluid enough to be pumped etc.
