Method and apparatus for the moulding of small iced confectionery articles, in particular iced lollipops, by rapid freezing in line in a heat-insulated compartment, in which a very low temperature produced by a cryogenic gas prevails and which contains a chain for the transport of moulds, consisting of two half-shells, by the conveyance of the sets of moulds into a moulding section and then into a mould-removal section, in which the removal of the articles from the moulds takes place by means of a device for separating the mould half-bars.
