The present invention relates to the production of antibodies in transgenic plants and screening of said antibodies for binding to antigens. The invention provides a method by which a large number of antibodies with variations in the multivariable regions are produced and screened for binding to antigens. The invention is particularly useful for the production of antibodies to antigens which may be present in different variants such as for example HIV-1 and A- or B-influenza viruses.
La présente invention concerne la production d'anticorps dans des végétaux transgéniques et le criblage desdits anticorps destinés à se lier aux antigènes. Cette invention a aussi trait à une méthode qui permet de produire et de cribler un nombre important d'anticorps avec des variations dans les régions multivariables de manière à les lier aux antigènes. La méthode de cette invention est notamment utile dans la production d'anticorps aux antigènes qui peuvent être présents dans différents variants, tels que, par exemple, les virus du VIH et de la grippe A ou B.
