The present invention relates to an electro-optical tag system comprising a reading/writing device capable of generating signals of very high light intensity and susceptible to operate the tag. To this effect, the tag comprises a discriminator which can differentiate said light signals of very high intensity from signals of common intensity so as to set the tag in operation when said signals are detected. A delay unit sets the tag off when the communication between the tap and the reading/writing device is interrupted.

La présente invention concerne un système d'étiquette électro-optique comportant un dispsotif de lecture/écriture capable de générer des signaux de très grande intensité lumineuse susceptibles de mettre en service l'étiquette. A cette fin, l'étiquette comporte un discriminateur pouvant différencier ces signaux lumineux de très grande intensité des signaux d'intensité courante de manière à mettre l'étiquette en service lorsque de tels signaux sont détectés. Un temporisateur permet de remettre l'étiquette hors service lorsque la communication entre l'étiquette et le dispositif de lecture/écriture est interrompu.
