The present invention relates to a protective sheath for protection and separating a plurality of insulated cable conductors from a single cable that includes a layer of protective armor surrounding all the conductors extending from down hole along production tubing in an underground well. The protective armor terminates at a separating point of the cable conductors so that the plurality of cable conductors are separated into individual cable conductors. The sheath is comprised a hollow rigid tube for enclosing the plurality of insulated cable conductors and protective armor. A plurality of individual rigid tubes are integrally formed to and enclose one end of the rigid tube so that each one of the plurality of cable conductors is routed into a separate rigid tube. Each one of the plurality of rigid tubes encloses a corresponding one of the individual cable conductors. The rigid tube and individual rigid tubes are sized to confine but not sealingly engage the conductors when the well is pressurized for preventing excessive expansion of the insulation on the conductors during well depressurization.
La présente invention a trait à une enveloppe protectrice pour protéger plusieurs conducteurs de câble isolés et les séparer d'un câble unique, ladite enveloppe comprenant une couche de blindage protecteur entourant tous les conducteurs provenant du fond du puits et traversant le tube de production d'un puits souterrain. Le blindage protecteur se termine à un point de séparation des conducteurs de câble de sorte que la pluralité des conducteurs de câble sont séparés en conducteurs de câble individuels. L'enveloppe est constituée d'un tuyau rigide creux renfermant la pluralité des conducteurs de câbles isolés et le blindage protecteur. Des tuyaux rigides individuels sont formés à même le tuyau rigide et renferment une extrémité de celui-ci de sorte que chacun des conducteurs de câble est acheminé dans un tuyau rigide distinct. Chacun des tuyaux rigides renferme un des conducteurs de câble individuels. Le tuyau rigide et les tuyaux rigides individuels sont de dimensions telles qu'ils peuvent renfermer mais non envelopper de façon étanche les conducteurs lorsque le puits est sous pression, afin de prévenir une dilatation excessive de l'isolant entourant les conducteurs lors de la détente du puits.
