Embodiments disclosed in the detailed description include a unitary or monolithic composite or hybrid cushioning structure(s) and profile(s) comprised of a cellular thermoplastic foam and a thermoset material. The thermoset material may also be provided as cellular foam as well. In one embodiment disclosed herein, the unitary composite cushioning structure is formed from a cellular thermoplastic foam and a thermoset material. The cellular thermoplastic foam provides support characteristics to the unitary composite cushioning structure. The thermoset material provides a resilient structure with cushioning characteristics to the cushioning structure. A stratum is disposed between at least a portion of the cellular thermoplastic foam and at least a portion of the thermoset material to secure the at least a portion of the thermoset material to the at least a portion of the cellular thermoplastic foam to provide a unitary composite cushioning structure.

L'invention concerne, selon des modes de réalisation, une ou plusieurs structures et un ou plusieurs profilés d'amortissement composites ou hybrides unitaires ou monolithiques composés d'une mousse thermoplastique cellulaire et d'un matériau thermodurci. Le matériau thermodurci peut également être fourni sous forme d'une mousse cellulaire. Selon un mode de réalisation, la structure d'amortissement composite unitaire est formée d'une mousse thermoplastique cellulaire et d'un matériau thermodurci. Ladite mousse apporte des caractéristiques de soutien à la structure d'amortissement composite unitaire. Le matériau thermodurci apporte une structure élastique avec des caractéristiques d'amortissement à la structure d'amortissement. Une strate est disposée entre au moins une partie de la mousse thermoplastique cellulaire et au moins une partie du matériau thermodurci pour fixer la ou les parties du matériau thermodurci à la ou aux parties de la mousse thermoplastique cellulaire, afin de former une structure d'amortissement composite unitaire.
