A stretched polytetrafluoroethylene formed article wherein at least a part of a formed article in a rod form comprising a stretched polytetrafluoroethylene porous material is coated or impregnated with a synthetic resin having a tensile modulus higher than that of polytetrafluoroethylene, and the part coated or impregnated with the synthetic resin is so deformed by twisting as to have a diameter less than that of the part not twisted; a method for producing the stretched polytetrafluoroethylene formed article; and a composite article using the stretched polytetrafluoroethylene formed article.
L'invention concerne un article formé en polytétrafluoroéthylène étiré dans lequel au moins une partie d'un article formé en forme de tige comprenant une matière poreuse en polytétrafluoroéthylène étiré est revêtue ou imprégnée d'une résine synthétique présentant un module de tension supérieur à celui du polytétrafluoroéthylène, et la partie revêtue ou imprégnée de résine synthétique est déformée par torsion, de sorte à obtenir un diamètre inférieur à celui de la partie non torsadée. L'invention concerne également une méthode de production de cet article formé en polytétrafluoroéthylène étiré ; et un article composite faisant appel à l'article formé en polytétrafluoroéthylène étiré.
