An infection with Helicobacter may successfully be treated with a compound of the formula (see fig. I) wherein R1 is hydrogen or methyl and R2 is hydrogen or L-alanine-L-alanyl, and the pharmaceutically acceptable acid additive salts thereof. These compounds are useful in the treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers.

I) où R1 est un atome d'hydrogène ou un groupe méthyle et R2 est un atome d'hydrogène ou un groupe L-alanine-L-alanyle, et les sels d'addition acide pharmaceutiquement acceptables de ce dernier.
