It is found out that inducible NO synthase (i-NOS) is efficacious against Sjoegren's syndrome. Based on this finding, remedies and/preventives for Sjoegren's syndrome containing i-NOS inhibitors as the active ingredient are developed. As the i-NOS inhibitors, it is preferable to use, for example, compounds represented by the general formula (I), nontoxic salts thereof or hydrates of the same, wherein each symbol has the meaning as defined in the description.
