An information processor which can control read/write even if the memory capacity of a portable memory device is changed and a portable memory device and an entertainment device which are controlled by such an information processor. A memory card (100) and an information processor (200) to which the memory card (100) is detachably attached are provided. The memory card (100) has a flash ROM (140) in which the page size which can be read/written at a time is predetermined, identification information (142), and a ROM size table (121). The information processor (200) captures information representing the page size from the memory card and controls data read/write of the flash ROM (140).

L'invention porte sur un processeur d'informations pouvant assurer la commande de lecture/écriture même si la capacité d'une mémoire portable varie, et sur une mémoire portable et sur un dispositif ludique commandé par ledit processeur d'informations. L'invention porte également sur une carte mémoire (100) et sur un processeur d'informations (200) sur lequel ladite carte peut se monter réversiblement. La carte mémoire (100) comporte: une flash ROM (140) où la taille des pages pouvant être lues ou écrites à un instant est prédéterminée, une information d'identification (142) et une table (121) des tailles sur ROM. Le processeur d'informations (200) prélève dans la carte-mémoire les informations de taille de pages et vérifie les données de lecture/écriture de la flash ROM (140).
