Equipment and process by which an operator can set (or program) a time sequence of coatings of oxygen with increasing oxidation potential for in-situ treatment (chemical reaction) of organic compounds ranging from superoxidation (catalyzed ozone) to reduction conditions involving hydrogen sulfide gas is described. The equipment makes use of oxygen in a combination of gaseous and liquid forms to produce microbubbles of, e.g., different composition of oxygen forms possessing peroxides, superoxides, and hydroperoxides with increasing oxidative potential. The oxidative potential of the reactive mixture can be set to more cost-effectively degrade byproducts of contaminant decomposition without reformulation and reinjection. A secondary advantage comes with in- situ adjustment of pH or acidity/basicity. In other examples, permanganate is delivered by a device that allows delivery of the permanganate and an air- ozone mixture to a soil formation. The permanganate can be delivered as a coating over microbubbles including the air/ozone gas stream.
L'invention concerne un équipement et un procédé par lequel un opérateur peut établir (ou programmer) une séquence temporelle de revêtements d'oxygène avec un potentiel d'oxydation accru pour un traitement in situ (réaction chimique) de composés organiques allant d'états de superoxydation (ozone catalysée) à des états de réduction comprenant un gaz hydrogène sulfuré. L'équipement utilise de l'oxygène dans une combinaison de formes gazeuses et liquides pour produire des microbulles, par exemple, d'une composition différente de formes d'oxygène comportant des peroxydes, des superoxydes et d'hydroperoxydes dotés d'un potentiel d'oxydation accru. Le potentiel d'oxydation du mélange réactif peut être réglé pour donner des produits dérivés plus rentables d'une décomposition de contaminants, sans reformulation ou réinjection. Un deuxième avantage est lié au réglage in situ du pH ou de l'acidité/basicité. Dans d'autres exemples, du permanganate est distribué par un dispositif qui sert à distribuer le permanganate et un mélange d'air et d'ozone à une formation du sol. Le permanganate peut être distribué sous forme dE revêtement sur des microbulles comprenant un flux gazeux constitué d'air et d'ozone.
