ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION Tamperproof reclosable cartons are provided from a single paperboard blank which includes a receptacle portion and a cover portion which telescopes over the upper edges of the receptacle portion. The cover portion includes a front cover panel and the front wall panel of the receptacle portion includes an integral bridging panel comprising a central sealing tab and flanking tab portions. The front cover panel comprises at least one central tab area outlined by readily severable lines of weakness designed to be punched out upon opening the carton providing a readily visible in- dication that the carton has been opened.
