16 Abstract: A headgear for primarily sports and receation activities is designed as a hood (2) or shell (2') from an energy absorbing material in a moulding tool. The hood or shell so shaped is provided with support straps (6 - 8) and the like for securing of the hood or the shell in a required position on a head of a person. The hood (2) or the shell (2') with the support straps (6 - 8) form the headgear (1) which is thus shaped to form or be able to form a safety helmet. For the anchoring of the support straps (6, 7) in the headgear (1) special holders (3) are arranged in the hood (2) or the shell (2') with one or more protrutions (4) to which the end portions of the support straps (6, 7) can be anchored.
