The invention relates to packaging (3) comprising a brush (4) for a floor care appliance (1), such as for example a motor-driveable carpet sweeping appliance, the brush (4) having a radially circumferential clearance region or free space or a radial projection (14). In order to find an optimal solution for brush-exchange, the invention provides that the packaging (3) has a tubular-form space (10) for receiving or accommodating the brush (4), that a radially inwardly projecting retaining feature (8) is provided in the brush-receiving space (10), for engagement in the free space of the brush or for cooperation with the projection (14), that the retaining feature (8) may be overrun in one direction only and that the receiving space (10) is open or openable at both of its ends (11, 12).
