L'invention concerne une brosse pour l'application de masca- ra surles cils, constituée par une âme centrale formée à partir d'un fil métallique (1) torsadé dont les torsades emprisonnent entre elles les poils (2) de la brosse, lesdits poils (2) étant disposés de façon sensiblement régulière enter lesdites torsades, caractérisée par le fait que les poils (2) ont une section droite sensiblement circulaire pleine dont le diamètre est compris entre 0,12 et 0,25 mm, le nom- bre de poils (2) par spire étant compris entre 5 et 9, lesdits poils formant sensiblement une nappe hélicoïdale monocouche dans laquelle chaque poil a une orientation sensiblement radiale, l'angle entre deux poils adjacents de la nappe étant sensiblement constant à 20% près environ.
