In a cutter assembly, adapted for rotating about an upright axis passing centrally through the assembly, and including a cutter body having at least one flat blade mounting section extending inwardly from a peripheral location of said body, containing a mounting hole and having upper and lower surfaces, and a blade extending outwardly beyond the peripheral location and being secured to said cutter body by a bolt extending through the blade and said mounting hole and having a nut screwed thereon, the improvement comprising: a shield having a bore aligned with said mounting hole and formed in upper and lower portions respectively engaging said upper and lower surfaces of said mounting section of said cutter body; and said upper portion of said shield including a cylindrical cavity receiving said nut.

L'ensemble comprend un corps de coupe muni d'au moins une section de montage de lame plate se prolongeant vers l'intérieur depuis un emplacement périphérique de ce corps. Cette lame est fixée au corps de coupe par un boulon traversant la lame et le trou de montage et reçoit un écrou vissé sur ce dernier. Les améliorations sont les suivantes : une plaque ayant un alésage aligné avec le trou de montage et formée de parties supérieure et inférieure engageant respectivement les surfaces supérieure et inférieure de la section de montage du corps de coupe; la partie supérieure de cette plaque comprenant une cavité cylindrique recevant l'écrou.
