Immunoconjugates of an antibody to a 240 kD melanoma tumor associated antigen were prepared. Cytotoxic immunocon- jugates such as ZME-018 antibody conjugate are useful for treating proliferative cell diseases such as melanoma as well as other tumors which bear the ZME-018 antigen. Detectably labeled compositions for diagnosis of such diseases are also disclosed.
